Nathan Young (20) has safely returned from the 5th World Championships in Sao Paulo, Brazil with his coach for the event Steve McQuilliam. We would like to thank Steve for the time and effort he put in to ensure Nathan, our sole representative, was mentally and physically prepared for the event. Nathan competed in 6 events  50/100/200 Free & Fly setting no less than 5 personal bests and reaching 4 finals and a reserve in the other 2. His best finish came in the 100 Freestyle where he came 5th and  broke the English record which had stood for over 20 years. The club are extremely proud of Nathan and delighted that we were able to continue to represent GB at major Championships. I am sure his achievements will be an inspiration for our younger swimmers for future events.
