Fantastic 2016 for GBDSC Records

2016 has seen an amazing number of new records with the final results of the year seeing our young swimmers continue to rewrite the records. Ryan Carstairs (11),Libby Gotta (12), Lucy Jordan-Caws (13)Kieron Harris(14), Ciara Tappenden (15) & Jasmine Seamarks (16) all setting new age group records. In the last month Jasmine & Ciara added English records, Evie Gallen improved her Irish records while Jack McComish & Danielle Joyce broke many Scottish records.

7 World Record Swims from Danii

Danielle has finished off an amazing 2016 with 7 World short course World Record swims at the Scottish Nationals held in the Royal Commonwealth pool, Edinburgh, while Jack McComish also completed a hat-trick of European records in 50/100 & 200 Breaststroke. Danielle broke the 50 Backstroke (twice), 100 Backstroke & 200 Backstroke but her highlight was her 50 free record of 25.81. Danii added the 100 freestyle to complete her weekend which also saw her collect 3 silver National medals as part of the successful University of Stirling relay team.  Congatulations to both danii & Jack.

Deaflympics 2017 Team Announced

GBDSC are pleased to confirm that a 12 strong team has been ratified to represent Great Britain at the 23rd Deaflympics to be held in Samsum, Turkey with the opening ceremony on the 18th July 2017
