It has been a very successful start to the new year for our swimmers with many more records falling already. Our Category A swimmer Alice Kinsey (11) notched up 6 long course records in 50/100 free, 50/200 breast & 50/100 back while 15 year old Poppy Leaman set a new long course 200 Backstroke time. In Cat B we had major success from Oliver Kenny (20) who set a new GB record in the 100 back long course and added the English record for 50 free. Lucy Sharp (16) continued her fine form with an age group & English record in the 50 Fly. Jack McComish broke his own long course GB record in the 50 Breaststroke while our younger swimmers were setting several age group records. 13 year old Letisha Ellis set a new 100 breast time long course & Libby Gotta also 13 claimed the 400 I.M. short course. For the boys Ryan Carstairs (12) grabbed the 50/100 free, 50 breast & 100 I.M. all short course and Harvey Spoor who has recently moved category claimed his first Cat B records 400 & 1500 free long course while adding 7 short course records in 100/200 free, 200 breast, 50/100/200 back and 200 I.M. All records are up to date as of 31 January so please let me know if there are any missed out. Congratulations to everyone.
