Welcome to GBDSC records page.

To set a new Deaf record (Category B) a swimmer must be a fully paid up member of GB Deaf Swim Club and have a hearing loss of at least >54dB in their better ear.  (Category A records can be found in the members page)

Records can be set in both Long Course and Short Course in the  following categories.

GB National Open Age Group, GB Youth (Under 19)  or  GB Age Groups (16 & Under).

English, Scottish, Welsh, I.O.M. or Irish  Open Age Group. Home Nation records  with no current members or only one swimming member can be found in the members page.

From 1 January 2014 all records are  AGE ON THE DAY and for the purposes of Youth Records a swimmer must be under 19 years.

Records can be set at any Deaf National or International competition or any other  Licensed  meet.

It will be the responsibility of the Record Keeper  Dave Carrington to update the records and produce certificates for the swimmers which will normally be given out twice a year at the training weekends. It is the responsibility of the swimmers and parents to contact Dave by  email to notify him of a potential record which  once verified will be updated on the website.
