An outstanding year for the club has ended with still more records falling including an English record for 13 year old Letisha Ellis for 50 Breaststroke short course. Letisha added age group records for 50 free, 100 breast, 200 breast and 100 I.M. 13 year old Libby Gotta also got among the age group records with 100 Fly long & short course, 200 free s/c and 200 I.M. long course. 14 year old Lucy Jordan-Caws capped a fine year with records in 50 &100 butterfly. Abbie Williams improved her own 200 Welsh record while English records also went to Lucy Sharp (16) in 50 Free s/c and an age group record for 50 Fly. Ciara Tappenden set a new GB & GB Youth record for the gruelling 800 free s/c while Jack McComish improved his GB records for 50 free & 100 Breast. Nathan Carrington (10) improved his 50 breast time and Ryan Carstairs (12) set records in 100 free, 50/100 breast & 100/200 I.M. Our Cat A swimmers also completed a great year with Alice Kinsey (11) setting new records in 50/100 free 50/100 back & 200 Breaststroke. For the boys 13 year old Harvey Spoor set an amazing 15 new records in 50/100/200/400/1500 free, 50/100/200 breast, 50/100 back, 50 fly & 200/400 I.M. across long and short course. Congratulations to the whole club for an amazing year and we look forward to more of the same in 2018.

Congratulations to senior swimmer Jack McComish(22) who continued his great form with 2 personal bests at the Scottish National Short course championships held in the Royal Commonwealth pool, Edinburgh 8-10 December. Jack set a new GB record for 50 freestyle and lowered his own European record in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1.02.22. Shiona McClafferty (17) also had a successful meet a personal best in the 50 Breaststroke while Danielle Joyce(21) was forced to pull out of what is one of her favourite competitions just days before it started through injury.
