Our youngest male member Nathan Carrington (left) had cause to celebrate with a new age group record (11&U) in the 50 breaststroke s/c by 0.02 seconds at the Bridlington Seaside Special on 1st July. Also claiming more records were Ryan Carstairs (12) for 100 free s/c & Letisha Ellis (12) 50 free s/c. Libby Gotta (12) continued her fine form with records in the 100 free, back & breast as well as the 200 back & I.M. all s/c. 14 year old Lucy Jordan-Caws claimed the 100I.M. age group record but also managed to grab the Scottish 800 freestyle. Also amongst their National records were 13 year old Evie Gallen from Northern Ireland with 8 records since our National Gala and Evie added the GB age group long course record for 800 free. 15 Year old Abbie Williams improved her Welsh 200 breaststroke s/c record to complete the home nation successes. Our Cat A swimmers were certainly not to be outdone with some fantastic recent swims. Harvey Spoor (12) made a great return to the pool having missed our National weekend through injury. Harvey set 4 Long course age group records while Keara Hemsworth (11) bagged the 11& under 100 fly & 200 I.M. records with Keira Grainger (12) completed our record breakers with the s/c 50 breaststroke. Fantastic efforts from everyone including all our members who might not have got among the records but since our National weekend have amassed an amazing 160 personal bests so well done to all our members.
