Congratulations to Oliver Kenny who warmed up for the World Championships with a new English Short Course record in the 1500 meters freestyle. Also setting new age group records over the last couple of weeks were 12 year old Jessica Oaten in the 50 Fly (L/C) and 13 year old Kieron Harris in the 50 Free (L/C). All records should be up to date so please check and let me know if there are any missing

Government Ministers to discuss Deaf Sport

6/8/2015

Following excellent work by Brian and Nigel alongside UK Deaf Sport the inequalities surrounding inclusion of Deaf Sport by UK Sport is finding its way into government discussions. In order to keep this momentum and as a result of a motion S4M-13742 which is due to be debated in the Scottish Parliament in September the club has contacted each relevant MSP to make them aware of the discussion and gain their support. Jim has had a very productive meeting with his MSP and this hopefully will result in additional pressure from the Scottish Sports minister on the UK Government.
