GB Deaf swimming had a hugely successful night at the DSPY 2016 awards with Danielle Joyce (20) following up from her success as Youth Deaf Sports Personality of the Year at the last event in 2014 with Runner up in the top category of Sports Personality of the Year to Andrew Rees (pictured below).  Danielles award capped a great few weeks for her winning Sports personality of the year at the North Ayrshire Community sports awards locally and being voted into 3rd place in the most recent Worlds Deaf sportswoman of the year by the ICSD (International Committee for Sport for the Deaf). Also involved in the success was club member Rod Oaten as part of the successful Deaf Golf team.
