Deaf Sports Personality of the Year 2018 huge success

What a fantastic night at the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground in Manchester on Saturday 10th November at the DSPY 2018 awards. GB Deaf Swimming walked away with two under 18  special achievement awards for Shiona McClafferty & Matt Oaten and Head coach Sam Chamberlain grabbed the Coach of the Year award. GB Deaf Swimming was also awarded the Team of the Year prize for their efforts over the past 2 years. The top award for Deaf Sports Personality of the Year 2018  was tense with 2 swimmers. 2 golfers a cricketer & a snooker player all holding their breath for the announcement based on  6 judges and voting by the audience on the night. In 3rd place Shabir Ahmed (snooker) in 2nd place Oliver Wilcox (Cricket) and then the moment to cap of a fantastic night for our club.
