Over the weekend of 8th & 9th June, 11 of our Young Talents competed at the National Junior Para Swimming Championships at The Alan Higgs Centre in Coventry.
Chloe Farrington, Bethany Gamble, Charlotte Gower, Ellie Graham, Katy Wun, Freya Chipperfield, Martynas Kazakevicius, Thomas Harvey, Gregor Craig, Angus Donald & Nathan Carrington made the trip from all areas of the UK to represent GB Deaf Swimming at the event.
Across the weekend they took part in multiple events each competing in Heats & Finals and also as a Team in the multi-classification Relays.
Everyone of them can be extremely proud of their swims with some excellent stand out performances, but equally proud of their poolside conduct in representing GB Deaf Swimming. The organisers praised our swimmers attendance at the event, in-particular their awareness in being ready to compete and relaxed attitude whilst waiting for their event. Chairman Dave Carrington said "it was an absolute pleasure to spend my time with all of them on poolside and watch them showcase their obvious talent"
Well done to ALL the swimmers and thank you to the families too for their continued support !!
