How and when did you start swimming?
I first started swimming at the age of five and quickly developed a love for being in the water. When I was nine, I began swimming competitively and joined Worcester Swimming Club, where my passion for the sport really grew — and I’ve been with the club ever since. In 2023, at the age of thirteen, I became a member of the GB Deaf Swimming Club (GBDSC). Since then, I’ve made steady and impressive progress, working hard both at my home club and during GBDSC training weekends to continue improving and pushing my performances. Now, I’m proud to have the opportunity to represent GBDSC at the upcoming Deaflympics in Tokyo.

Competitions
I mainly compete in the 50m, 100m, and 200m breaststroke events, which have become my strongest and favourite races. Over the years, I’ve taken part in a range of meets with Worcester Swimming Club as well as GBDSC, gaining valuable experience at each competition. Every race has helped me grow in confidence, refine my technique, and strengthen my passion for breaststroke. The upcoming Deaflympics in Tokyo will be my first international event and my first Deaflympics, marking an exciting new step in my swimming journey.
